I run public NVC workshops and for communities and organisations in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, and where life invites me (e.g. Japan, Italy, France, Sweden). Currently I am running three NVC practice groups in Oxford. I also do NVC based coaching and mediation.
In the last three years I have been exploring NVC in relationship to Nonviolence and Zen Buddhism. I also practice and teach Reiki and Zen.
I have experience with participants/clients from a multitude of cultures and social backgrounds. I can work in English, Dutch and Italian, both face-to-face and by telephone/Skype.
I live in Oxford (UK) with Bridget Belgrave, my wife and associate, and we work often together in public workshops and in organisations. I am available for national and international projects (paid and volunteer)
I have been working until 2008 for many years in senior roles in a corporate environment before I made the transition to self-employment in 2008.
Over all these years my spiritual journey took me from various forms of Christianity to Ch'an/Zen Buddhism and Reiki in the nineties.
In 2006 I became deeply inspired by Marshall Rosenberg, developer of The Nonviolent Communication (NVC) process. His process teached me a practical way to connect compassionately and honestly with myself and others and to develop a way of communicaiton to express compassion in daily life. It was a step from the "meditation cushion" into the "real world". Since 2006, I have trained with many NVC trainers internationally and in 2011 I became a Certified NVC trainer with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication. I lead practice groups and run Introduction, Foundation and Deepening Trainings/Workshops internationally, both public workshops and in organisations.
I have an extensive experience in coaching, mentoring, personal and leadership development and I am certified in various processes, viz.Myers Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI) step 1 and 2, and Ken Blanchard’s High Performance Team process. I am also a certified coach with Coach U and a certified faciltator for the Be The Change organisation. I am involved with Bernie's Glassman's Zen Peacemakers, I am a member of GAMIP (Global Alliance for Ministries & Infrastructures for Peace.
It is my purpose in life to support people in developing a life that connects them with their inner self and with others in a way that is real and compassionate, thereby increasing the level of willing collaboration of individuals, groups, organisations and humanity. To this purpose I do run NVC based workshops, coaching and mediation and I practice and teach Reiki and Zen.
