I currently facilitate 3 monthly NVC practice & development groups, 4 or 5 Foundation trainings per year and 2 intermediate training days as part of the London NVC Network. I run annual residential retreats combining NVC with Open Floor Conscious dance.
Since I came across NVC in 2006 it has slowly and profoundly shaped my attitude and consciousness and the way I want and choose to live; I expect this to continue for the rest of my life!
About the same time I started doing 5 Rhythms dance, a form of expressive movement meditation which helps people embody both a compassionate attitude and sense of personal empowerment. I am now a Teacher of Open Floor Movement Practice (www.openfloor.org ) and a member of the International Conscious Movement Teachers Association. I love bringing NVC and conscious dance together in workshops.
Another big influence has been Vipassana meditation - I did daily practice and long retreats for nine years. Also in the mix is a foundation training in Core Process Psychotherapy and many years of personal therapy.
I have a PGCE in adult education and have been an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher in Further Education since 2003. I completed a degree in English and African Studies and an MA in Gender and Development. I trained and worked as a journalist for business and human rights publications.
I became a CNVC certified trainer in 2014 and facilitate public workshops and practice groups. I support individuals and couples using the principles of NVC.
