Overview: NVC Empathy in Presence Zoom Course

This course is part of a Trilogy (alongside Authentic and Sensitive Expression and Embodied Mediation – when worlds collide). Each course stands alone, but completing all three qualifies you for a Level 1 Foundation NVC certification recognized by CNVC. The courses rotate, so you can begin with any of the three:

Empathy in Presence

Practicing empathy, as emphasized by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, involves achieving total presence when listening to others. Nonviolent Communication (NVC) centers around the essence of Empathy in Presence, where mastery ensures authenticity in every gesture and word, aligning with the intention to connect. Presence is the transformative space that elevates empathy from a mental exercise to a genuine connection.

NVC is a practical and learnable approach aimed at infusing empathy, honesty, strength, and compassion into personal and professional relationships. It encourages authentic expression, fostering confidence, clarity, and deeper connections, particularly in challenging moments.
