A New Approach to Anger
At this Deepening the Foundation training you will:
- Learn to express anger fully without blame, attack or threat
- Practise receiving anger in ways that increase safety, respect and understanding
- Discover how to work with anger you direct at yourself
- Explore the Anger Dance Floor (a spatial map to aid learning)
- Understand and use connection requests
- Develop your colloquial NVC language
- Renew and improve the skills learnt in the Foundation Training
At the heart of NVC is a deep and compassionate awareness that much of our world is brutal, unjust and dysfunctional. NVC allows people to peacefully influence the organisations, communities and social systems that impact their lives. A longing for a different world for us to share, or an awareness that our current structures are not working, is often an access point to NVC.
As well as an opportunity to understand how Rosenberg related to anger, this weekend is also a chance to better equip ourselves to use our passion to act, think and speak nonviolently: sustaining challenging conversations and interactions while remaining centred, creative and connected within ourselves.
Far from suppressing anger, or denying what is at the root of what matters to us, we will build trust in our own capacity to speak the truth with love.
Minimum preparation: Completion of 2 day NVC Foundation Training with a CNVC Certified Trainer.
