We are very pleased to have Miki Kashtan, co-founder of Bay NVC, California, in the UK to share her visionary work with this intensive for change agents. As we work to transform this world, where the needs of a small group are prioritised over the needs of everyone else and all of nature, we need to look at the way we work to bring about change so as not to reproduce the separation and divisions of the past. Miki works with themes of power, privilege, dialogue, collaboration, system building and inner and outer commitment to nonviolence to support authentic, compassionate and inclusive change making, so we are not simply changing those in power and the names of things, but we are changing the fundamental logic that underpins our relationships and systems. Whether it is small change in our families or organisation, or large change in politics or the World Bank we can use the same tools and consciousness to create a world where we meet more of our needs more of the time. You are likely to emerge from this training empowered and equipped with the following: —     Practices to support you in embracing nonviolence in thought, word, and action —     Facilitation tools for supporting decisions that work for everyone —     Dialogue skills for connecting across differences —     Perspectives and tools for understanding and engaging with your own and others’ power and privilege —     An approach to building alternative institutions that anchor and embody your vision —     A path towards leadership that does not compromise others’ participation and wisdom Whether you are a change agent within an organization, a facilitator, an activist, or are simply exploring how you might contribute more to life, this intensive can offer you a framework for creating change. For info about the content of the course please contact Sophiedocker@gmail.com 07837570940 for all booking and booking enquires please contact Hawkwood directly Event organizers in Prague in 2017 interviewed Miki about her reasoning, vision, and passion for this type of transformative work and created this video. Food and accommodation cost: Single: £280, shared £235, non-res £175 (includes all meals except breakfast). Non-res £135 (includes lunch, no breakfast or dinner included) If you feel unable to meet the fiancial requirements in coming, please contact Sophiedocker@gmail.com to discuss options. Tuition contribution: Tuition contribution will be asked for on the last day of the event and is planned to be on a gift basis rather than a fixed amount. It is our intention to look at how we manage resources as part of this event, recognising the role money plays in the dynamics of power and privilege on the planet and in the work we do.  We will share the costs of offering the event and ask people to contribute based upon their need and ours. Miki is an employee of BayNVC on a moderate salary for California. For BayNVC to be sustainable takes approx £2625 ($3500) per day of Miki’s Training. As this is a 3 day training that amounts to £7875. Organisation costs are estimated to be 10 days work at £150 per day £1500 and travel another £500. Total cost are expected to be around £10,000. We are expecting 30-50 attendees, so to cover the cost of tuition sustainably we would need an average of £200-£345 per person. We anticipate having people who will contribute far less, some who won't contribute at all. Thus to make the total amount will take some number of people contributing far more. We invite you to stretch into giving much less or much more than the average as you feel able and willing to. Thank you for joining us in experimenting with sharing resources in a different way and all the challenges and celebrations that brings.
