A dedicated online space to practice, build skills and fluency using Nonviolent Communication (NVC) through role play.

We’re on a mission to make life easier for people learning and practicing NVC who maybe struggling to use it when situations get hard, the stakes are high and where the connection really matters.

Role Play club is hosted and facilitated by Em Burns (Certification candidate) and Barry Jones (CNVC Certified Trainer). They bring with them a mix of groundedness, vulnerability, fun, energy and inclusive and engaging facilitation.

Who?

Everyone is welcome!

Role play club is for those:

  • New to NVC and who are curious to see it in action
  • Who have attended a foundation training or intermediate trainings in NVC
  • Certification candidates travelling the path to becoming a Certified Trainer with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC).

How?

Role play club will be held online and people that come along can be in the ‘audience’ or participate in the role plays.

Audience members will be invited to offer value based feedback for role players and help select scenarios for the role players to use. The scenarios will be selected from the CNVC Certification Preparation Packet or from real life examples that role play club members suggest.

People can request to take part in a role plays and will have access to support if they request it. Role players are likely to be certification candidates or people who would like to practice and build their skills.

How much?

Whilst we happily and willingly prepare for NVC Role Play Club without expectation of financial return, we would, at the same time, greatly value receiving some money for doing so, as it is part of our work-in-the-world. The contributions you make are shared between the team.

We invite you to consider what you have available, what the sessions might be worth to you, and our needs, and to make a decision from there about what feels comfortable for you.

We invite you to consider:
