This is a Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Foundation course, which will teach you the basics of Nonviolent Communication after Marshall B. Rosenberg.
Nonviolent Communication is a set of tools and principles that anchors you in the now, and allows true communication and natural giving between human beings to happen joyfully.
Learn about the four steps of NVC: Observation, Feeling, Need, Request.
How to listen empathically, what is empathy, and what not.
After this course you will be able to distinguish:
- Observations form judgements and interpretations
- Feelings from thoughts
- Needs from strategies
- Requests from demands
And you will be able to choose more consciously between the three modes of:
- Self-empathy
- Self-expression
- Empathy for the other
Kirstin has dedicated her life to constant growth and learning. Nonviolent Communication has been a huge part of what pointed the way for her to become more integrated – a path that will most likely never end during her lifetime. Kirstin is passionate about accompanying other people, meeting them with warmth and genuine curiosity. Particular areas of interest have been shame and our many defense mechanisms against it.
