Welcome
This two day course is specifically for men. I believe men aren’t broken — they’re burdened by years of conditioning that told them to “man up,” “suck it up,” and never ask for help — and it’s hurting them and everyone who loves them.
If this resonates, perhaps…
- You’ve been holding it together for years — behind silence, behind strength, behind the mask. And now, it’s all feeling too much.
- You’re fed up with the arguments. The distance. The disconnection with the people you love most — your partner, your children. Perhaps it’s showing up at work too. It hurts, and it’s not who you want to be, not anymore.
- You know deep down, you’re carrying old wounds — ones that still shape how you show up in your relationships, with your partner, your children. You were taught to soldier on. To stay quiet. To be strong at all costs.
But a part of you longs for something more.
To become the man you wish was there for you.
A father who is grounded and present.
A partner who is open and truly listens.
A man who lives true to his deepest values.
If this speaks to you — you’re not alone. You’re in the right place. Welcome.
The good news…
You can learn to pause before you react. To listen, even when it’s hard. To speak, without shame. To repair and restore the connection when you say or do something unskilfully and that you regret. In doing so, you’ll build real, honest, lasting relationships — starting with the one you have with yourself.
This work is about real change — not quick fixes or surface-level solutions. It takes courage: to drop the armour, take off the mask, and really look inward. It asks you to unlearn long-held ways of thinking, perceiving, and responding — to yourself and to others.
This 2 day course is an introduction and will give you a foundation understanding of NVC and some tools and practices to continue with.
I believe passionately that the way in which we connect and communicate with ourselves and one another can have a truly transformational impact now and in the future.
About this Course
Our time together is inspired by and draws on the work of Dr Marshall Rosenburg and the Centre of Nonviolent Communication (CNVC).
We will explore the steps of the NVC process, to listen with compassion to ourselves and others and discover how to express with honesty and integrity whilst caring for everyone’s needs.
The course will enable you to start practising using NVC in your daily life, be that whilst at work, in the local community or at home.
The course is delivered in a fun, engaging and experiential way working with examples from participants’ own lives and experiences.
I aim to co-create and maintain a learning environment where we can all learn and practise NVC together.
Inclusion matters to me, and I welcome any one no matter how you identify, your background, or access to financial resources. If you have any concerns around inclusion, I would be happy to hear from you.
Course Aims
- To explore together the four steps of the NVC process.
- Learn and practise effective and compassionate communication skills in a fun, engaging, empathic and supportive space.
- Connect compassionately with ourselves and others.
- To explore with curiosity habitual patterns of thinking, listening and expressing that are likely to be causing pain and suffering for ourselves and those around us.
- To speak from the heart and in a way that is likely to be heard and inspires connection and collaboration.
- Support you to understand the things that really matter to you and request those things.
- Practice becoming more present and discover how to unstick difficult relationships.
