Many of us feel despair about the world but struggle to see how we can make a difference. Using the consciousness and skills of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) we will get clarity on our vision and work together to make that vision a reality.

This course is hosted by Quaker study centre, Woodbrooke, and is for anyone motivated to create change, whether or not you see yourself as an activist. We will deepen Nonviolent Communication (NVC) skills, including empathy, dialogue and leaning into human connection, to navigate grief and anger in a safe space. By exploring power, privilege, and the paradigm of nonviolence, we will gain tools to move beyond judgement and respond consciously in personal and social contexts.

Held by two experienced NVC trainers over 6 live sessions, we will use role plays, personal reflection, and collaborative projects to develop action plans. The sessions will be supported with resources on our online learning platform, Moodle.

There will be some material to look at before the first session. Woodbrooke will email you around one week prior to the course with information about accessing the course, including this material, on Moodle.

This course is designed for people with a working knowledge of NVC. Ideally you will have completed an NVC Foundation or have similar experience in a personal or organisational setting. If you are unsure, please contact us to check.
