"Whilst it is difficult to embrace grief and be moved by its muscular demands, without it we would not know the heartening quality of compassion, could not experience the full breadth of love, the surprise of joy, we could not celebrate the sheer beauty of the world. Grief fosters each of these capabilities, deepening them by bringing gravity to the moment. The secret of being fully alive"
The Wild Edge Of Sorrow, by Francis Weller
I am wondering if you would like to join me for a day where we gather to give spaciousness for grief and mourning? I trust that in the composting of our grief filled stories; our longing for love is revealed and gratitude is given wings. During this day I will support the building of a space where we expand our window of welcome for all that is alive in us around grief and loss, giving voice to what we have lost personally and maybe grief and anguish we experience around the way the world is. Approaching the life in it all without expectation or demand. Through this kind of loving compassionate container, perhaps painful experiences can become tolerable.
Through Nonviolent Communication practices, brought to us by Marshall Rosenberg, through sharing our stories, through conversation, through singing and sharing of food we will explore love as the point of equilibrium between grief and gratitude and cultivate our skills for compassionate presence.

I look forward to this day, and I hope you will join me.
