Empathy Deepening

'Peace requires something far more difficult than revenge or merely turning the other cheek; it requires empathising with the fears and unmet needs that provide the impetus for people to attack each other.' Dr Marshall B Rosenberg What does the world need more of in 2018?  My answer to that question is empathy. Empathy for each other, empathy for ourselves and empathy for our planet. Our listening presence is a gift we can bring to ourselves and others. A deep quality of being here, being with what is, without judgement, and without trying to change anything. Even if what we hear is difficult and we disagree, non-judgemental listening is a first step to understanding ourselves and others. When we find the willingness to fully hear, the depth of understanding we receive brings a new quality of being with each other, a new quality of knowing and seeing ourselves and others. And only when each persons needs are heard with this fullness can we truly explore strategies that care for everyone In this  course we will explore and practice offering and receiving this quality of presence, so we can meet ourselves and each other with more compassion and understanding. Whether the others be friends, family, co-workers, or politicians. (Pre-requisite: 2 day foundation training or equivalent) Deepening courses build on the learning from the foundation course in Nonviolent Communication, and provide opportunities to practice skills and increase your ability to use NVC  in your daily life. The price for this course is £150.  Receiving this amount supports me to be sustainable and to keep doing the work of sharing Nonviolent Communication. At the same time I know that for some people paying £150 makes the course unaffordable and I want NVC to be accessible to everyone.  If you would like to discuss paying a different amount, you can choose to pay the deposit only and email me sarahbolera@yahoo.co.uk so we can agree something that meets everyone's needs.
