The fire of conflict is a rich ground for transformation, directing us to the heart of what matters. It can burn away old stories and paradigms, leading to reclaiming power and choice, often deepening relationships and restoring connection and alignment with the flow of life. In fact, sometimes it is the only way these places of disconnection, whose roots may be historic and systemic, are revealed and can be attended to through the energy generated.

And yet conflict can be super destructive, violent and devastatingly painful, increasing polarization and decreasing connection. In the conditions of conflict aversion many of us find ourselves in it can be very risky, exposing and potentially dangerous territory. Especially when coming from a place of less power or marginalisation in a relationship, organisation or group. Yet conflict avoidance can escalate problems and stop change happening.

Now is the time to grow the muscles to navigate difficult situations with nonviolence in their depth and power in order to meet what arises in a transformative way and address the complex challenges of our times.

During this course, we will develop skills, processes and consciousness that support:

  • Navigating difficult situations and moving from polarisation to connecting across difference
  • Liberating yourself from dynamics that don’t serve you as a party in a conflict or as a facilitator.
  • Challenging limiting thinking or beliefs in yourself or others.
  • Finding the gift that is being revealed for each person individually, relationally and for the system
  • Navigating power dynamics and using your power “with” others
  • Developing skills for navigating conflict and supporting others in conflict

This is a course for:

Anyone who would like to grow their skills for engaging with conflict, and navigating tense, stressful, difficult circumstances personally or professionally.
