The international NVC community is in the middle of reorganising itself to create a new global organisation, in a multi-year project called The New Future Process.
About the global Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC)
CNVC (Centre for Nonviolent Communication) has been the go-to centre for Nonviolent Communication in the world. Following Marshall Rosenberg’s death in 2015, this organisation has been undergoing a major re-think which began with an intensive consultation and collaboration from the ground up. A New Future Plan for the new organisation was produced.
In February 2017 we saw the start of the implementation phase, which is expected to last for a couple of years.
What the global movement is up to now
Full, and up-to-date details of the whole New Future Process can be found on the CNVC website (which is under reconstruction)
In the UK we have began creating pilot focus groups in alignment with the new future’s vision.
What is envisaged for the future
The new global organisation, provisionally called NVC-O, will operate in a manner inspired by the work of Frederick Laloux in “Reinventing Organisations” and others, using the principles of self-management which support autonomy and empowerment.
