So often we think we have communicated effectively only to discover that was not the case. It can be difficult to put our finger on what went wrong and that’s where the theory and practice of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) comes in.
NVC fosters empathy and understanding in our interactions with family, friends, workmates and ourselves. Based on an approach developed by Dr Marshall Rosenberg, NVC provides a subtle yet powerful framework to support effective communication.
In this introduction to Nonviolent Communication offers ways to:
- skilfully listening to family, friends and workmates
- recognise and communicate from your values
- practice and develop the capacity to be a more effective communicator
- resolve everyday conflicts with more confidence and easy
